So, I went to a training thing on Monday to learn how to use NetRestore to image the Macs. I took what I learned, and got it to work yesterday. I'm now in the process of installing apps n such. We've got some OLD software that we're still going to use - some of it is still on floppies. Hard to use those floppies when you're on a new iMac. Oh, well, that's why I get paid the big bucks.
So, the mail has been picked up, so my forms to have my 1st 2 classes form my MA are on their way to Franciscan University so that I can start as soon as they process them and send me my stuff. Very happy! Books are also on their way.
Okay, so today, I leared that Idaho does not exist on slashdot. Now, after reading that, I thought back to High School when Jeff explained how Iowa doesn't exist. So, I did a Google search for "Iowa does not exist" and found the Iowa Conspiracy Theory page. This page has a very similar theory to Iowa not existing that we had back in high school. It was written in 1997, after we had all graduated, by some guy I've never heard of. It just furthers the proof that we were right! Iowa is a government conspiricy!
We have pictures up now from the shower at my parent's house in Beaverton. She's grown so much in the last 2 weeks, even though you may not be able to tell from the pictures.
Well, here is something I think Bill would like. It's a project to take pictures of all of the confluences of Latitude and Longitude in the world. Like 44N, 123E. An interesting idea, Oregon's almost all done!
Don't worry Michelle, I'm not turning into Bill.
We have more pictures from the hospital Here. More pictures of people who aren't us with her. Thanks to my Dad for these pictures, the one's I've taken, mostly from home, will be around shortly.
We're all home from the hospital. There are pictures over on Katherine's web page from the hospital. I think she's a lot cuter than the picture on the hospital's web page would suggest.
Bill gave me a digital camera as a present (yeah Bill!). We have some more pictures that I took once I figured the thing out, and we'll have them up soon. I have a few days off work, so I should be able to spend time with her.
I am pleased to announce the birth of Katherine Holmstrom on July 7th, 2003 at 10:45 am. She came into this world at 8lbs 6oz and 21 inches long. It took over 36 hours of labor to bring her into this world, but Michelle was a trooper, and is now recovering.
We're still waiting for Katherine. Her due date is Tuesday, but she's so far not cooperating with coming out. We're trying all of the old wives tales about how to induce labor, but none of them work :-)
Meanwhile, I'm just sitting around work trying to figure things out. Unfortunately, most of the stuff I have to do I can't do yet...
